Monika Sosnowska w swojej twrczoci dokonuje aliansu uniwersalnej modernistycznej formy z elementami socjalistycznego budownictwa, ktre spotykaj si i wspgraj ze sob w unikalny sposb. Artystk interesuj utopie, bdy, miejsca niefunkcjonalne. W jej pracach znane architektoniczne elementy takie jak: korytarze z lamperi, balkony, sufity, podogi i ciany podlegaj wariacjom i zmianom zaburzajcym percepcj odbioru. W Galerii Labirynt zaprezentowana zostanie jedna z monumentalnych instalacji architektonicznych Sosnowskiej pt. Fasada. To ponad siedmiometrowa metalowa konstrukcja, ktra pozbawiona zostaa swojej cikoci, i jako niemal organiczna struktura spywa mikko z sufitu, wysoko ponad gowami ogldajcych. Fasada poprzez swoj nieoczywist i pozbawion dyscypliny form w przewrotny sposb odkrywa proces twrczy artystki. Sosnowska pierwotnie wykonaa niewielkich rozmiarw papierowy model, ktry z atwoci poddawa si formowaniu, ten z kolei zosta odtworzony w swej ostatecznej stalowej formie. Dziki temu powsta unikalny, niepowtarzalny ksztat, ktry wycznie skal i materiaem nawizuje do swej pierwotnej formy. W Polsce Fasada pokazana bdzie po raz pierwszy, wczeniej prezentowana bya na wystawach: Regional Modernities w ACCA, Melbourne (2013), Architectonisation w The Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto (2015), podczas Sharjah Biennale 13, Dubaj (2017).

In her artistic activity, Monika Sosnowska combines universal modernist form with elements of socialist construction that meet and interact with each other in a unique way. The artist is interested in utopias, errors and non-functional places. In her works, known architectural elements, such as corridors with panelling, balconies, ceilings, floors and walls, are subject to variations and changes that distort their perception. At Galeria Labirynt, Faade, one of Sosnowskas monumental architectural installations, is going to be presented. This metal structure is over seven meters high, but has almost no weight. As an almost organic form it flows softly from the ceiling, high above the heads of viewers. Through its unobvious and discipline-free form, Faade in a perverse way reveals the creative process of the artist. Sosnowska originally made a small paper model that was easy to fold. In turn, the model was recreated in its final steel form. As a result, a unique, distinctive shape was created. It only refers to its original form with its scale and material. Faade is going to be shown for the first time in Poland. Previously, it was presented at the following exhibitions: Regional Modernities at ACCA, Melbourne (2013), Architectonisation at The Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto (2015) and during Sharjah Biennale 13, Dubai (2017).
